Flaxseed / linseed cold pressing
A practical line from seed preparation to filtered oil
The flaxseed route starts with crushing in a pre-press machine, followed by direct cold pressing in a hydraulic oil press. The oil then moves through filtration, clean food-grade storage, and filling, while the pressed cake is collected as a separate output.

Process flow
Cold pressing keeps the core conversion route short
The key processing steps are crushing and hydraulic pressing. Filtration, cake handling, storage, and filling complete the production line.
Two outputs
Plan the oil route and cake route together
Pressed oil route
Collect the oil from the hydraulic press, filter it for clarity, and transfer it into clean food-grade containers. Filling equipment can then be selected around the required bottle or container format.
- Pneumatic multi-layer paper filtration
- Clean food-grade oil storage
- Semi-automatic or automatic filling as required
Pressed cake route
Collect the flaxseed or linseed cake separately after pressing. The current production route identifies direct feed use or pulverizing for further processing as the available downstream paths.
- Collect and store cake separately from the oil
- Use directly as feed where appropriate
- Pulverize for additional downstream processing
Equipment modules
Build the line around the actual operating route
These are the main equipment and planning pages connected to the flaxseed / linseed cold-press process.
Buyer checklist
Information needed before the line is sized
- Incoming seed condition: whole seed or material already crushed
- Raw-material target per shift or day and planned operating hours
- Cold-press route and required batch workflow
- Single press or multiple presses operating in parallel
- Required oil clarity and filtration method
- Pressed cake plan: direct use, pulverizing, or storage
- Oil storage and bottle or container format
- Workshop power supply, available floor area, and destination country
Keep the line balanced
Do not select the hydraulic press in isolation. Crushing, pressing, filtration, cake handling, storage, and filling should be matched to the same shift target and operating plan.
This page follows the cold-press route: crushed material moves directly to hydraulic pressing without a roasting stage. Final machine selection should be based on the buyer’s actual material and production requirements.
