Edible oil production line layout should be built around product strategy first, not around a random machine list. If the plant is aimed at premium sesame oil, the layout should reserve space for batch pressing, oil clarification, and clean filling. If the plant is aimed at bulk output, the layout should support continuous conveying, pretreatment, and screw pressing.

Quick layout answer

If you build a fresh-oil shop layout, the core press should be Korean type or KHOP small hydraulic models. If you build a premium batch sesame factory, the core press should be 325 hydraulic. If you build a large continuous line, the core press should be a screw expeller with pretreatment equipment in front.

Direct recommendation by project size

Project typeRecommended core machineLayout focus
Shop / fresh-oil retailKorean type / KHOP 10KG 15KG 20KGCompact display, easy cleaning, close filling counter
Medium premium factory325 hydraulic oil pressBatch loading, cake discharge, filter, oil tank
Large continuous productionScrew oil press / expellerPretreatment, roasting/cooking, longer process flow

1) Shop or small retail workshop

Recommended machine: Korean Type Small Hydraulic Oil Press Machine.

If the customer wants direct selling, visible pressing, and high-value fresh sesame oil, the Korean type machine is the best fit. Typical batch range is 5-20 kg. For exact sizes, use KHOP-10KG, KHOP-15KG, or KHOP-20KG.

2) Medium premium factory line

Recommended machine: 300-325 hydraulic oil press machine.

This is the better choice when the factory wants premium sesame oil, stronger aroma retention, and practical medium-batch production. It is more suitable than a small shop machine when workshop output and batch size are larger.

3) Large continuous line

Recommended machine: screw oil press / spiral oil press / expeller. This type is better when daily output and continuous feeding matter more than boutique positioning.

Practical layout sequence

  1. Raw material receiving and storage
  2. Cleaning and grading
  3. Roasting / conditioning if required
  4. Main pressing section
  5. Oil filtration and settling
  6. Finished oil storage and filling
  7. Oil cake discharge and bagging

For hydraulic projects, put the filtration area close to the press. For expeller projects, leave more room for continuous material movement and pretreatment.

How sesame expeller sections should be planned in the layout

Reference sesame-processing materials show that spiral press sections need more than just a screw press on the floor. A workable sesame expeller section usually needs pretreatment and tighter process control.

  • Common sesame screw-press process: cleaning → softening → flaking/rolling → steaming/roasting → pressing
  • For screw pressing sesame, hot pressing is usually the main method
  • Initial pressing should start with slower feeding, then move to normal production after the press chamber is warm enough
  • The layout should reserve room for cooker or roasting equipment before the expeller, not only for the press itself

This is why an edible oil production line layout for sesame cannot treat expeller and hydraulic press as interchangeable machines. The supporting area and process path are different.

When NOT to choose each layout route

  • Do not choose Korean type layout if the target is factory-scale batch output
  • Do not choose 325 hydraulic layout if the buyer only wants a tiny shop counter model
  • Do not choose expeller layout if the buyer’s real business is premium small-batch sesame retail
  • Do not build an expeller line without pretreatment and roasting space

Quick Recommendation by Business Type

  • Shop model → Korean type or KHOP layout
  • Premium batch factory → 325 hydraulic layout
  • Continuous bulk line → screw expeller layout

Tell Us Your Project Details for a Quote

You can share your project details like this: “For edible oil line layout, we first define whether your project is shop retail, premium batch factory, or large continuous production. For shop retail we recommend Korean type or KHOP small hydraulic models. For medium premium batch production we recommend a 325 hydraulic line. For large continuous production we recommend a screw expeller line with pretreatment equipment.”

FAQ

How do I choose between Korean type, 325 hydraulic, and expeller?

Choose Korean type or KHOP for shop retail, 325 hydraulic for premium batch factory projects, and expeller for large continuous production with pretreatment.

Can you provide a machine list and layout drawing?

Yes. If you send seed type, target capacity, workshop size, and local voltage, we can recommend the machine list and a practical layout flow.
